At Politis & Matovina, P.A., supporting our community is important to our practice! We love participating in events throughout the year and helping local organizations in any way we can.
This November, we are excited to be a part of multiple events! Our calendar for this month includes:
- November 2nd —
5th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona Motorcycle Skills Challenge: We are excited to say that we are a Gold Sponsor for this event once again! The address of this event is 1637 N. US1 in Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
Holy Cross Orthodox Church World’s Food Fair: This event will feature a selection of Greek, Macedonian, Romanian, Slavic, Arabic, and Mediterranean dishes, as well as a live music performance! It will be held from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 375 Fleming Avenue in Ormond Beach, FL.
4th Annual Crandall Can Golf Tourney: This is a “shotgun scramble”-style tournament at Cypress Head golf course, located at 6231 Palm Vista St. in Port Orange, FL 32128. The event starts at 8:30 a.m.
- November 3rd —
Bikers Against Breast Cancer Poker Run: Registration for this event begins at 8:30 a.m. It costs $25 per rider, $15 per passenger, and $10 for extra poker hands. The ride begins at Beaver Bar for registration and breakfast, then will stop at Oceanside Beach Bar & Grill, Doghouse Bar & Grill, Hidden Treasure Raw Bar & Grill in Rose Bay, and finally Dirty Harry’s, with a BBQ dinner, awards, and entertainment. It will be led by Knights of the Inferno. The first 250 people will receive a T-shirt and other items.
- November 9th —
Warrior Kids Foundation Golf Tourney: We are proudly sponsoring a hole in this tournament which benefits the families of children who are fighting cancer! It will be held at Victoria Hills Golf Club at 300 Spalding Way in Deland, FL 32724.
Spruce Creek High School Baseball Golf Tourney: We are sponsoring a hole for this event at Spruce Creek Fly-In Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit Hawk Baseball Boosters.
Sweetwater Elementary Carnival: We are a Gold Sponsor for this “Frozen”-themed event, located at 2800 Victoria Gardens Blvd. in Port Orange, FL 32127.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Volusia County: We are staff sponsors for this event at City Island in Daytona Beach! Registration is at 8 a.m., the ceremony is at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
- November 11th —
The Vet Golf Tourney: This tournament at Crane Lakes Golf & Country Club benefits the Fisher House Foundation. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the tourney starts at 9 a.m. We are a sign sponsor!
- November 17th —
Inaugural Loman Family Florida Diabetes & Wellness Conference: This event is a full-day conference for medical professionals and the public. It will be held at the Port Orange Family YMCA from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- November 28th and 29th — Politis & Matovina, P.A. offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
- November 30th —
Light Up Main Street Begins: There will be holiday lights on Main Street from A1A to Peninsula throughout the winter season! Additionally, Main Street will feature photo displays, decorating contests, and snow showers every Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. from November 30th to January 4th! We are the Title Sponsor! This event will be held in conjunction with the Ocean Center Holiday Event.
