Special Events in October Supported by Politis & Matovina

|

People throughout Daytona Beach know Politis & Matovina, P.A. as a local law firm that genuinely cares about our communities. Many of our staff are also avid motorcycle riders, so we also stay active in local motorcycle events and groups. In this blog, we would like to let you know about a few special events that we are supporting, sponsoring, or attending. We hope to see you at as many of these events as possible!

26th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer’s Ride for Children

We are perhaps the most excited for the 26th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer’s Ride for Children that’s coming up soon! During this event, a police-escorted ride will travel around beautiful Ormond Beach, Florida, starting and ending at Destination Daytona. Attorney Michael Politis loves participating in this event each year as one of the riders. Proceeds from the fundraising event will go to Camp Boggy Creek this year.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns, the pre-event gala is not being held this year. All event participants must also wear a mask, which can be provided to attendees and riders who do not bring their own. Other safety precautions, like signage encouraging social distancing and good hygiene, will also be taken.

Details about this event:

  • Date: Sunday, October 4th
  • Time: 7 AM rider check-in and 10 AM “kickstands up” start
  • Location: The Pavilion at Destination Daytona
  • Address: 1653 US-1, Ormond Beach, FL 32174

We think you might also want to show your support for these other October events:

  • MSABC Hope in Motion Survivor Parade: A procession to honor cancer survivors, held on Friday, October 16th.
  • Children’s Museum Golf Classic: We are an official Tee Sponsor for this event, held on Friday, October 16th. The Club at Venetian Bay of New Smyrna Beach is hosting the event. Funds raised will be used to purchase items for the Children’s Museum, such as touchscreen computers, new and upgraded exhibits, various technologies, materials, and resources for the Education Department. Visit https://www.moas.org/childrensclassic to learn more.
  • #StridesYourWay: Join us on October 17th and 18th for our Pink Celebration and #StrideYourWay with your friends, family, coworkers, and more! During this event, participants are encouraged to find a way to spread cancer awareness in their neighborhood while being mindful of pandemic safety precautions. You can walk around your neighborhood, hold up signs in your yard as people drive by, and more. Participants are encouraged to share photos of their personalized events to the Facebook page @vfstrides or the Instagram account MSABC_VolusiaFlagler.
  • MSABC Pink Parking Lot Party: On Saturday, October 24th, there will be an MSABC Pink Parking Lot Party followed by a movie in the Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The event starts at 5:30 PM with a social gathering with distancing and hygiene precautions. All attendees should bring a mask to wear whenever near someone not in their isolation groups. The popular movie “The Natural” will start at 7:30 PM.
