Politis & Matovina, P.A. is pleased to welcome the newest member of our Daytona Beach personal injury team, Attorney Dayanna Lopez! Attorney Lopez brings a wealth of experience to the firm, with a background in personal injury, family law, and complex civil litigation, among other areas of law. Her past experience is extensive and varied, with time spent serving in the criminal division of the Office of the Attorney General, the Florida Office of the State Attorney, the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court, and Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida.
Attorney Lopez obtained her law degree from the Stetson University College of Law. During her time there, she was awarded the Exemplary Leadership and Dedication Award and the Outstanding Service Award from the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division. Currently, Attorney Lopez continues to dedicate her time and serve her Alma Mater by taking part in the annual Stetson University Model United States Senate, where she serves as a mentor and voice of encouragement for individuals who dream of pursuing public service and law careers.
In fact, Attorney Lopez is dedicated to giving back in numerous ways. She regularly devotes her time to providing pro bono legal services for victims of domestic violence and veterans in Volusia and Flagler Counties. She regularly serves both the Veteran’s Court and the Domestic Violence Advisory Committee for the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court.
Attorney Lopez is also a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the Florida Bar, the Volusia County Bar Association, the Flagler County Bar Association, and the Putnam County Bar Association. She is also a member of Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inns of Court, the Volusia/Flagler Association for Women Lawyers, and the Florida Justice Association. Additionally, Attorney Lopez is the founder of the Tax Law Society and she previously participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Attorney Lopez is fluent in Spanish and often assists our Spanish-speaking clients with a variety of legal matters.
